Dr. Stacy Lambrinos was born and raised in the North Country. She grew up on a farm on Rand Hill with horses, cattle, and numerous cats and dogs. Her family has owned and operated Gus' Red Hots Restaurant, located on Cumberland Head Corners in Plattsburgh, NY, since 1951. Stacy worked at her family's restaurant while she completed her undergraduate studies at Plattsburgh State University and worked towards her goal of becoming a veterinarian. She attended Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine and received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in May 2008.
Her passion for shelter medicine and spay/neuter was sparked during a spay and neuter trip to an animal shelter in Mississippi. During veterinary school she worked closely with Dr. Phil Bushby, a nationally recognized spay and neuter veterinarian.
Under her professor's guidance, she developed a low-cost, high quality spay and neuter mobile clinic in upstate New York.
Stacy worked as a veterinarian at Plattsburgh Animal Hospital and Saranac Veterinary Clinic while she worked towards her goal of starting the Red Fern Spay & Neuter Mobile Veterinary Clinic.
In her free time, Stacy enjoys trail riding with her Morgan, Arabian and Thoroughbred horses, taking walks in the woods with her Beagle, hiking and swimming in the Adirondacks, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, running and spending time with her family.
